At Wednesday's meeting David spoke about Citizenpedia, a failed effort to improve on Wikipedia. He believed the failure resulted from the decision not to start with a copy of Wikipedia and improve upon it. Hence we decided that we'd independently copy what was available on Wikipedia - and I'm presuming elsewhere - as a start. Doing so in independent brainstorming mode, with the thought to invent and then appraise, coming up with some standards.
- We have to in that case work on a method of importing wikipedia with working links and references. Fixing it manually was too much work. I think we'd be better off figuring out taxonomies that allow people to easily build on neighborhoods.. Wwwhatsup 03:05, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
