Fiske Terrace is located in south central Brooklyn, south of the community of Flatbush, and north of (and sometimes considered a part of) the community of Midwood. It is bounded by Glenwood Road on the north, Ocean Avenue on the east, the Bay Ridge Branch of the New York and Atlantic Railway right-of-way on the south, and the Brighton Beach Line subway line on the west.
Fiske Terrace was developed with individually designed houses at the beginning of the 20th century by the T.B. Ackerson Company. The community is served by the Avenue H (formerly Fiske Terrace) station of the [[BMT Brighton Line|Brighton Beach Line], formerly the Flatbush and Coney Island Railroad, whose century-plus-old station house was declared a landmark in 2004 by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. Plans call for its restoration.
